Induction Gig Evaluation

The 'Induction Gig' was awesome on Friday 14th October,Everyone wa Screaming and Clapping,meaning that they enjoyed it a lot.I performed on two songs named Billie Jean by Micheal Jackson and On and on by Erykah Badu.I played the piano throughout my entire performance with the band members.We had been preparing for this final gig up till now by rehearsing in the band workshop classes. I had been working on the chords and listening to the songs.My teacher named Olly, and the band members had been very supportive. I felt that my performance on the song On and on was much better than Billie Jean because it was easy and simple for me to play.Billie Jean performance was also good.Reece who was in the band with me in Billie Jean plays the bass guitar and he also knew how to play the piano which is why he could also help me with my performance on the piano. Mimi also sang and played the piano in the song PYT by Micheal Jackson. I can do even much more better in the next performance to enhance my skills.We all had performed well.Every week during our band workshops we would practice one song which is given to usand for the last 20 to 30 minutes which were very important,we give a performance as to what we did throughout this time during the band workshop class and then whichever band group has done good in whichever song,we choose and decide as to which band group is going to do which song for the gig in the theatre.I also practiced at home. After we are confident,We are able to show a lot of enthusiasm towards are self and the audience.Hence it was an amazing experience.My preparation and the other members of the bands went extremely well.

Performing Arts Gig Review 1/2,(Induction gig Evaluation).

The event on 14th October was very good but the only thing was that some of the performers of Music Level 2 were nervous especially in the 2nd part and 3rd part of Level 2 Music were nervous as the singer got confused as when he/she had to start singing her part.The others were fantastic,they all rocked on the stage and did a very good job performing. Now I am going to give a brief description of the Level 2 Music performance.

The Content of the performance was that it was ok.,meaning not to good and not to bad.

The singer was ok,he/she was so nervous on the stage,the other performers were good.They were OK in engaging the audience,but they had enthusiasm in themselves.The performance of the first one was amazing because both the singers were singing very confidently.

The techniques they should've used was to practice more to make the band perfect in performing.Especially the singers.The techniques they used were that they had a good tuning and matching of the rhythm.Imstrumentalists were awesome and singers were pretty much ok in performing.

I liked the first performance,this was a standout moment for me.

We screamed happily and clapped for them.

What I actually meant to say is that the performers were good in a way that they had performed but the singers can do much more better if they practice harder.

Christopher Percy Gordon "Chris" Blackwell (born 22 June 1937) is an English businessman and record producer, and the founder of Island Recorders,which has been called "one of Britain's great independent labels."

Island Recorders was founded in Jamaica on 4 July 1959 by Chris Blackwell, Graeme Goodall and Leslie Kong, and partially finance by Stanley Borden from RKO.

Gig review 1

It was a very good performance today and I am going to talk about the Musical theatre performance,

So the content of the performance is that it was both serious and happy.It was serious because the performers were concentrating on their performance and it was joyful meaning happy because we enjoyed the performance and especially their movement and the way they spread out.It was very interesting to see them perform and I liked the way some they performed on the song Aquarius.It was more like a dance,there was some acting dialogues and singing as well.The performers of my the musical theatre were successful in engaging the audience,especially because of the way they sang and danced together and also for their entire performance and their techniques were that they were raising and holding their hands together,their movements etc.The entire performance was a standout moment for me,especially because of the silent music it was mostly like opera.That is what I feel.It was about how they were feeling like,it was serious and little bit of emotional things.My overall impression of the entire event that it was very nice to see the performers performing very well and more like a sound and light show because whenever somebody is performing on stage,the lights of the stage always points towards them and the sound was also coming very clear and we could hear it very well.It was a great experience of the entire event of all the performances.When we all clapped,everyone started screaming very happily.

For my neighbour I would describe about Reece,he has a band room in his house,it consists of a microphone,bass guitar etc. Skills of two of my classmates consider of being a musician, Reece knows so much about Music,he helped me with the piano chords and like other students in the college he is sincere Kyra's is very good in singing and she can play the guitar very well,like other students she is well organised.

About Remix and rearrange Composing class/Composing task 1

In the composing class of remix and rearrange,We had been working on four songs named as Come together by the Beatles,One love by Bob Marley,Billie Jean by Micheal Jackson and On and on by Erykah Badu.The lecturer made us listen to the songs and showed us how to compose it by adding instruments and increase and decrease the tempo of the songs.The songs which I had been working so far are there in one of my previous posts with written explanations meaning the descriptions about them.

Contribution of the songwriting class

The songwriting classes which I had been having so far were pretty good.It is something new which I am doing.But I have got an Idea when I had a look at the Internet and got an Idea.So far we had been working on a song called "to the river running free,don't mind me , let it be".We are working on an obstinato which means a repeated phrase throughout the entire performance.I am playing the obstinato on the piano and the other people in my group our singing and playing the guitar and bass.Songwriting sounds interesting while doing it along with a group and when I do it individually,I require help to write my own song.The teacher made us listen to some songs and we discussed about the song and what it is like and in the first few weeks we will be working on our own songs which we are doing in every session/classes.
