FMP-L3 Collaborations /Musical Chairs

What we did today as part of the final major project,was working on each other to collaborate with each other's tracks,We first saw a video of a boy making a musical track,then we started working on logic,we needed to make 4 to 8 bars using a metronome to make our track.I only used a piano sound and overlapped with other instruments,I learnt that We should always use a metronome and instruments should not be recorded again and again,If I am done with recording,I can try out with another instruments,Some students also made 8 bars,and when I listened to there tracks,I matched the chords with the track,the way it as being played/recorded in logic,and after we were done,We started to save as putting our name and writing collab because all of us were collaborating with each other's tracks.It was an amazing experience and very interesting to get an idea of how we are doing.We were elaborating music and stuff on logic to make our tracks sound good throughout the bars,it was lasting for.

This is the kind of work we will be doing with each other in the final major project like working its each other,giving presentations and getting feedback.This is all related to our own interests.



What I had been doing before the spring break and during spring is that,I had been making a proposal for my project,and doing some collaborations with other people on logic like whatever other people on logic had been doing and matching the chords along with them.This was before the spring break when I did it in my composing class.This is Similar to performance because,It is the matter of matching the tuning structure and chord progressions in music.

Referring to the past,I had included to artists who use technology in their music performance and a review about an external gig named lowky gig,which I wrote in my own words after watching it.


I had been practicing my singing and playing piano and keyboard and refferring to my solo set,I had to work on dynamic variations to bring musicality,So I made my own music on the black and white
keys on the piano using the pedal to try and bring some musicality and also what I had been learning in my instrumental lessons.

This refers to my future and to go ahead with my final major project and the end of year summer gig.
This is all mentioned below.I might not have the band members I have expected up till now,It might change and the songs also might change depending on the time and number of people who are in my band.

This is an example of if I am already in a band which I am not as yet because I just started doing this
project right now and we just came back after spring break.



However,I already spoke to Kenny and Marco today,and the thing is that Marco said that Reece won't be coming to college because he is doing a job to earn more money.

For my performance for the gig on 24th:-

The names of the band,I would like to have are:-
Samarth(me)

Marco


Kessana

Hasna


Alyx and Kenny

and I would require more people with me in my band if necessary,groups might change,depending on people's opinion.

The songs I would like to perform are Castle of glass by Linkin Park,Wavin Flag by K'naan,American
Boy by Estelle and we would perform some originals depending on how we work.These are my
Suggestions for group of band members and songs to perform for the summer gig.



For the first song,Castle of glass,I would play keyboard,Kenny should play the drums, Marco and Alyx should sing and Hasna should play the Guitar,Kessanna should play the piano.



In Wavin Flag by K'naan,I will play the piano/Sing,Kessana should play the keyboard,Marco,Alyx should be the  singers, Hasna should play Guitar/Bass   and Kenny should play the drums.


In American boy,Marco,Kessanna,Hasna, should sing,Kenny can also sing/play drums,Alyx should sing,I should play the keyboard.


We would play originals if we have time and let's say,if we are doing one,Kenny,Alyx Marco and Hasna should sing,and two singers should do harmonies,I should be playing keyboard,Kessana should sing while she is playing piano.

Some of the group members would say that we want to play some other instruments which they can always do.

I will still talk about different things about this own project of mine throughout while doing blog work.

This is how I feel that a performance should look like for the gig,but These are suggestions of songs and who should play what for each of the songs for the performance.
