Today I am going to talk about my final major project to all of you as what it is like.
My name is Samarth,and what I had been doing in my Final major project is that,I had selected the band members of my choice to rehearse and perform for the gig on 24th May. I chose Kenny,Alyx,Kessnna and Reece and we are performing 3 songs named
- Castle of Glass by Linkin park,
- Wavin Flag by K'naan
- American boy by Estelle.
For my Research for this project,I had been going through case Studies,Brief history of Indian and Western Classical music,and also it's Crossover and fusion,Musicians and Mortality,Case Studies of Musical ensembles and So on.
The case studies talk about,How musicians perform as a band and talks about the Salary income,Musical ensembles talk about their roles like what instruments they play and how it is different from each other. In Indian classical music what I understood that it is mostly singing and Of course,Indian Instruments like Tabla Sitar etc.Western Classical,music can also consist of Rock and Pop music and is quite exciting and can be loud.Indian classical music is Calm and Soft.Western Music can also be soft.
I had added some of my own sources from my previous projects like Artists who use technology in music performances and my own review of my External lowky gig. Review/Case studies of Musical ensembles which I had been doing as part of my Music Certificate Course,I had plan to add it on my Music Yr 1 Diploma course which is this one as part of my research of musical performance as I am doing a performance based which focuses on Singing and Instrumental Skills.
I had also added another musical ensemble case study/Wikipedia named Green day with the Comparison of the Beatles.
In Indian classical music,
We sing Sa re ga ma pa dha ni sa
Sa in dha pa ma ga re sa
Similarly in Western Classical music we sing Do re mi fa so la ti do
Do ti la so fa mi re do.
I had also recorded one song of my band rehearsal when we rehearsed American Boy with Estelle,We had also rehearsed the other two songs as well and I will record in the next few practical sessions or if we book access time to rehearse.So far,Alyx,Kenny,Kessana and Reece agreed to be part of my band for the Gig,I had also included Marco and Hasna as my Band members but they had to decline their position because they were very busy. Kenny is playing the drums,I am playing the keyboard/Piano,Alyx is Singing,Kessana as well,She is also playing the piano,Reece is playing the Guitar/Bass.We might swap over in between some of the songs when we perform for the gig.Depending on how we practice and rehearse.
