Todays Band run through was good, but the Scale in which we were performing American Boy was to high for Alyx, So we had tried transposing the notes some tones/semitones lower to match Alyx's and Kessanna's voice, but it still didn't work out, So we decided to perform in the actual scale of E major as it was before when we had been practicing, it worked out really good and Alyx and Kessanna could manage Singing American Boy. Kenny also had to work on his drumming and Reece had to play Bass instead of Guitar for which it is all sorted out.
When it was our turn to rehearse in front of Olly, We first Sang and Played American Boy. Alyx is Singing, Kessanna is doing the harmonisation while singing, I am playing the Piano using the Guitar and Bass sound, Kenny is playing the drums and Reece is playing the bass.
Then we rehearsed the Song Wavin Flag, It is the same but Alyx and Kessanna are not in this song as it is a boy song for which I am singing while playing the piano,Reece is playing the Bass and Kenny is playing the drums, Whereas American Boy is a girl Song which is why Alyx is Singing and Kessanna is harmonising while singing the Song. Reece is also doing the Rap for American Boy because in the Song American Boy, a male voice does the Rap.
My role and the other band member's role will be the same for the Gig. After the end of our rehearsal Olly,was saying that it was sounding good but I should do a warm up before it sounds singing so that my voice sounds perfect while performing with my band for the Gig.
I hope this gig goes well as part of our Final Major Project.
