•Good Morning everyone,

•Today I am going to give presentation of my project on What I had been doing so far.

•What I had been doing so far in my Final major project is that,I have chosen three songs to perform for the summer Gig with my band members named Kenny,Alyx, Kessanna ,Reece and I.

•I have given them the chords and lyrics of the songs so that all of us can rehearse together as a group band.

•I had also practiced the chords on the piano and keyboard myself.

•The songs are Castle of Glass by Linkin Park,Wavin Flag by K’naan,and American boy by Estelle. Alyx is Singing,Kenny is playing drums,Reece is playing guitar and Bass,I am playing Piano/Keyboard and Kesanna is Singing and Playing piano.

•For my research,I had been refferring to Case Studies and other articles related to music.

•The one which inspired me the most was “Portugal-The Man”.

•It talks about,How he had been working towards becoming a musicians and expressing the ways like how to work with the band members we choose for ourselves,and also talks about that not only should you be practicing with the band members,but also to do your individual practice in order to make the group bands performance better and also for performing individually.Similarly,When I am practicing to play piano and sing.

•How this is related to my FMP is that,Muiscians who get together to work as band members,for which some people call it Bulshit meaning of no use.

•I had also been researching about the brief history of Indian and western classical music.

•The songs which I am doing for the gig can also be related to western classical music because they are all english songs and also the instruments like drum,bass,piano etc are all western classical music instruments.

•Why I had planned to research for these articles for my project is because I am very good in singing and playing piano and keyboard.

•Now I have started researching something more relevant to my project as the final product which is similar to the Songs which I am performing for the gig. The case study which I have referred is about Linkin park.Castle of glass by Linkin park and the other two songs which I am performing for the gig our all related to pop music.

•What I plan to achieve from this project is that I will keep practicing and rehearsing my skills and when I choose a group of band members in the future,I will be very organised with the lyrics,Chord progressions etc.and there are other things as well which I can do better for the future,like even now and before,I have been composing my own pieces on the piano,meaning that I can make my own music with the black and white keys on the piano.

•Overall,I can say that this project helps me to prepare for being independent as I go ahead.
